1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Thread Reader, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all of these terms, do not use the application. These terms apply to all users, researchers, and scholars who access the service.

2. Use License

Thread Reader grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application for your individual research and productivity needs, subject to these terms.

3. User Responsibility & Data

You are solely responsible for the content (PDFs, text, images) that you import into Thread Reader.

• Ownership: You retain all rights to your data. Thread Reader does not claim ownership of any content you create or import.
• Legality: You agree not to use the application to process content that violates any laws or third-party rights.
• Backup: While we provide iCloud sync, you are responsible for maintaining independent backups of your critical research data.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Premium features are offered on a subscription basis via the Apple App Store. All financial transactions are handled by Apple. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

Thread Reader is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy of AI-generated summaries or the continuous availability of cloud-based AI services.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Thread Reader be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit) arising out of the use or inability to use the application, even if we have been notified of the possibility of such damage.
